Brembo Airbag Life Jacket

Italian brake maker, Brembo has recently started a new branch of activity focused on passive safety systems intended to protect motorcyclists incase of a crash. They have created a line of riding jackets featuring an airbag system designed to protect the rider from major injuries involving the upper body, neck, chest, back, shoulders, arms and head. They are called Brembo Life Jackets and are mainly for urban use. Once the rider takes a seat on the bike, he or she must then strap the jacket to the bike. The jacket uses a built-in acceleration sensor which can detect when the biker has departed from the bike in a jerk, hence causing the airbags to be triggered within 80 milliseconds and stays inflated for 60 seconds. The jackets are available for both men and women in different styles.
