T
he new MV is more of a work of art as with all MVs. The new F3 will apply the principles of superbike performance to a new market segment known as the middle weight supersport category. If the F4, which is considered as the most beautiful motorcycle in the world, set the styling and performance standards by which all others are judged, then the new F3 has completely exceeded all previous conceptions of what a supersport motorcycle should be, and has redefined an entirely new category.

With its super light weight, high power and innovative electronics working in complete harmony, the F3 sets the new standard by which all other supersport motorcycles will be judged and compared. The F3 was part of a completely new project that was created by CRC, which is the research center that has continually designed and developed the motorcycles of dreams. The F3 is unique and the attention-to-detail that had been addressed by its engineers is what has brought out the final product of pure excellence. The triple pipe exhaust sticks out of one side while the advanced frame design incorporates a mix of steel tubing and aluminium side plates that wrap around the ultra compact engine making the bike light but still with plenty of muscle to show with its curved fairing and cowling.

Now what makes the F3 extra special is its compact inline 675cc 3-cylinder engine. The same engine and layout has won many races for the Italian manufacturer and has now returned in the middle-weight supersport with perfection. Its design is modern and technologically advanced, and, according to MV, can create the most horsepower in this segment with 126bhp and allowing the F3 to touch a top speed of 260kmph. It uses a wet multi-disc mechanical clutch with 6-speed constant mesh transmission. Added tech comes in the form of the throttle body full drive-by- wire by Mikuni, pencil-coil with ion-sensing technology, control of detonation and misfire Torque control with four maps, and Traction Control with eight levels of intervention. It’s simply way ahead of its time for a mid range machine.

MV Agusta riders have become accustomed to having the very best components and the maximum performance from the chassis. The new F3 follows this tradition with a level of quality that exceeds most of the 1000cc superbikes on the market. The official MV Agusta website sums it up pretty well and we know that there can be no exaggeration. It says, “With the new F3, history and future are fused into a single entity giving form to the most beautiful and technologically advanced “600”, a motorcycle that clearly marks the beginning of a new era.” And we believe them.

The New F3 is available for a price of about $14,000. But wait! There is also a limited edition version called the F3 Serie Oro, which has a gold frame. This limited edition will be available at the retail price of $27,900. In keeping with the traditions of the brand, the limited edition “Serie Oro” version appeals to collectors and enthusiasts of Italian engineering excellence. These exclusive models, of which a maximum of 200 examples will be built only to special order, differ from the standard version via a multitude of details, both in terms of aesthetics and engineering. Either way, I am not too choosy and would be more than happy to go the middle way, be simple, and get the regular version, and I’m sure neither of you would turn down this mid-range beauty either.
