Tesla Model S will be fast… very fast
 


It has been over 5 years since the American manufacturer of electric sports cars has unveiled anything new to us, but now we can feast our eyes on the beautiful Tesla Model S. the Model S is actually an all electric luxury sports sedan. Founder and CEO of Tesla Motors, Elon Musk has also announced that a high-performance version of the Model S will also be built and that it would boast a 0-100kmph acceleration of just 4.5 seconds. That would make the four-door Model S faster than a Porsche 911 Carrera. The regular version of the Model S will roll out of production in mid 2012 and will boast power figures of 415Nm of torque and have a driving range of 250km, while being able to run from 0 to 100kmph in just 5.6 seconds and reaching speeds of 208kmph.

   
GM announces Chevy Spark fully electric car  
   
 

American auto giants, General Motors have recently announced plans for the Chevrolet Spark to be turned into a totally electric vehicle by 2013. The Spark EV will be sold as a separate variant of the regular Spark and will only be available in limited markets. This means that India could very well see the electric spark running on domestic roads. According to GM, testing has been underway in China and India since the beginning of the year, and an all-electric Chevrolet Cruze has been the test mule to help develop the Spark EV. Details and full specs are not available at this time but most probably the car would have an all electric range of over 100km and a full recharge time of only 5 hours from a normal household plug.
