The raison d’etre for autoX is the extremely successful core concept, derived from many mature car markets around the world. The considerable response received since our launch in September 2006 has affirmed our belief that a resource of this nature is essential in the rapidly growing and developing Indian marketplace.

In the short span of two years, we’ve attracted a substantial readership, and have also captured the imagination of an entire spectrum of Indian car users, buyers and collectors, ranging from classic, luxury, sports and economy cars, as well as enthusiasts, members of the Heritage Motoring Club of India, and the motorsports community. We’re fortunate that the vast readership spans a wide-cross section of industry and society.

With the second anniversary issue (October 2008), we’ve also extended our reach from North India to the Mumbai marketplace. Moving forward, it’s our constant endeavour to increase our coverage area.

autoX has enjoyed large-scale publicity campaigns over its first two years of existence. We specifically targeted high visibility areas like Barista outlets, BPOs, Petrol Pump convenios, major malls, and high-volume magazine vends across the targeted regions. Between September 2006 and October 2008, we have also publicized the brand through exhibitions and conferences, as well as through targeted ad campaigns (national newspapers and Live media).
