Goodwood Festival of Speed |
|
| West Sussex, England --------------------- June |

Where can you see Lewis Hamilton in a McLaren Formula 1 car, Peter Solberg in a WRC Subaru, and Sir Stirling Moss in his legendary 1955 Mille Miglia winning Mercedes Benz SLR on the same track (or rather large driveway, whichever way you want to look at it)?
With a name like the 'Goodwood Festival of Speed,' it conjures up some pretty exciting images – and the event doesn't disappoint. Lord March, founder of the event, lets some of the most renowned cars and drivers invade his estate every year in June to put on a fabulous show for the public.

It's a truly diverse gathering with current Formula 1 drivers in cars both new and old, legends of days gone by in their championship winning machines, world rally cars on a special forest stage, and some of the most rare and exotic metal ever assembled in one place – all of which can be seen charging up Goodwood hill.

Located 60 miles from London, the always spectacular Goodwood Festival has become an eagerly awaited and highly anticipated annual event – not only for the die hard petrol head but also perhaps for his or her friends and family as well.
It has something for everyone, whether it's some of the winningest cars and drivers in history from all forms of racing to modern day supercars and exotics, as well as current Formula 1 cars.

Manufacturers now use the event to preview, and sometimes reveal, their new supercars. And unlike other events, at Goodwood you can actually get close to, and feel like you're part of, the action. It's truly a special event, and one that warrants a visit, at least once.
