Maruti Suzuki is sure heating up things at the beginning of the year. The company plans to bring out the compact version of the Swift Dzire early next month. This entry-level sedan will be rolled out from the company’s Manesar plant and will certainly stir-up the segment as it will give competition to cars like the Toyota Etios, Indigo CS and the Mahindra Verito.

The sub-4 metre size of the new Dzire will qualify it for the 10% lower excise duty but will we see a drop in the price of this new car is something we will get to know once its launched. The car will come in 3 petrol variants and the top-end version will get a 4-speed automatic transmission. The same transmission might find its way in the diesel variant as well but it sure will be pricey.
