All 1000 units of the Limited Edition model have been sold out
Late last month, Datsun introduced the limited edition redi-Go Sport and announced that only 1,000 units of the car will be sold. The Japanese car maker has received good response for the redi-GO Sport and has decided to increase the production by another 800 units. The Datsun redi-GO Sport is priced at Rs 3.49 lakhs. (ex-showroom Delhi).
The Datsun redi-GO Sport has 9 additional features above the standard models. Overall the redi-GO Sport follows a red-black dual tone theme. It comes with a new black grille and red accents, black wheel covers, a glossy rear spoiler and black strips across the body of the car. On the inside too the dashboard is washed in black, again with red accents. The redi-GO Sport also comes with a longer list of features including rear parking sensors, keyless entry and a Bluetooth audio system. The redi-GO Sport is available in three colours – red, white and grey.
“The Datsun redi-GO SPORT version has generated more demand than anticipated and we are happy to announce that the initially planned 1,000 units have been sold out in less than a month. To meet the high demand and delight our customers, we are announcing an increase in production of the car with a further 800 units,” said Arun Malhotra, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. (NMIPL).
Datsun introduced the redi-GO in India in June this year. Up until the launch of the redi-GO Sport last month, the manufacturer had sold over 14,000 units of the car. Thanks to the additional features and the cosmetic updates, the demand for the redi-GO seems to have increased further. The redi-GO Sport can only be purchased in the top-spec S variant.
