Renault launches the Kwid Climber in top-spec RXT (O) trim exclusively in the 1.0 litre engined model.
Showcased first at the 2016 Auto Expo in Greater Noida, the Renault Kwid Climber has finally been launched in India in two versions. The Renault Kwid Climber is essentially a more adventurous version of the standard car featuring a new Electric Blue paint shade which is exclusive to the car along with exterior and interior styling enhancements. The Renault Kwid Climber is being made available only in the more powerful 1.0 litre engined version of the Kwid.
So, let’s go through the new stuff in this spruced up Climber trim version of the Renault Kwid. On the outside, the car gets a restyled front bumper that gets a chunky fog lamp housing along with a revised air dam with silver and orange accents and a faux skid plate below. The side profile of the car gets new Climber stickers on the front doors while there is different door mouldings, the ORVM casings are now orange in colour while it gets new roof rails with orange accents. The Kwid in Climber spec also gets alloy wheels. Around the back the bumper has faux skid plates too along with the Climber name being incorporated into the window.
Inside, Renault has incorporated orange accents everywhere in the cabin, specifically air vent surrounds, centre console surround, seat covers and door pads, the steering wheel gets Climber written on the lower spoke in orange while the top section gets an orange perforated stretch.
The price for all of this exclusivity in the Renault Kwid Climber is an additional Rs. 25,000 over the standard price of the car. Renault states that this is an introductory price for the Climber version. The Renault Kwid Climber is available in both manual and AMT automatic avatars. The Renault Kwid Climber 1.0 manual is priced at Rs. 4.30 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) while the Kwid Climber 1.0 automatic is priced at Rs. 4.60 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Both versions of the Kwid Climber are available only in the top-spec RXT (O) variant which equips the car with features such as a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth compatibility and satellite navigation, lane change indicators and more.
